Sally Mair - Loving life

Hold Tight

I rather think this squirrel must be related to Isobel, the acrobatic contortions it puts itself into. Its burying these peanuts at the moment which is rather strange at this time of year.
Today Ali brought Bonnie over this morning to meet her second great aunt in a week! Bonnie of course charmed the socks off her!
I went out after lunch for a meeting with a potential IFA, nice though she was I don't think I'm a good fit for their company. It's really hard, my previous FA was part of a company which was taken over again and again and eventually ended up part of Aviva which doubtless was good for them, but didn't feel like a good for for me. It's very hard to find a new one though. I don't need anything major, I'm very small fry.

West and North Edinburgh was chaotic trafficwise this evening. Three parallel roads are closed or have road works as are several of those at right angles to them. The main road by the Western General is closed half way down and all the traffic including the six buses which 7se that route are being diverted along minor roads with junctions involving right angled turns with no traffic lights. Tonight everything just gave up. It was like a large carpark in the midst of which we tried to get children to activities. What a mess, some of the mum's were an hour late getting to the class having sat in stationary traffic. Others gave up, parked and walked with their children for very long distances in the rain.
More rain today but some beautiful skies this evening through the rain so perhaps tomorrow will be better.
BtW if anyone is looking for a good coffee shop then Two Children in Raeburn Place was excellent today.
