We fed the cats, clean up and then started the drive home in pouring rain. Thankfully, as we got closer to the coast, the clouds began to clear. 

We had a stop in at the new rental for Tim’s son and his partner. They just moved in a couple of days before but they really like their new flat in a converted barn in the Suffolk countryside.

After that we went to Southwold to get fish and chips for lunch. Despite the sunshine and the long weekend, it wasn’t too crowded.

It would have been good to spend a bit more time there but we were both feeling tired and decided to head back early. Just as well because the traffic in London was horrible. Still, it was nice to go away and nice to come home.
