Humanwatching

While I was sitting inside doing some birdwatching, this young Great Tit was sitting outside, staring straight at me, doing some humanwatching!

Be warned, if you read on the account of my day may drive you to drink, it did me!

Dynorod, who were meant to be dealing with a blocked sink on Friday, called to say they’d be here today, between 8am and 6pm! So, even though I had two hours cover, had to cancel my plans to go out. When they arrived they couldn’t fully deal with the blockage as when the sink was fitted it had been sealed against the wall so there was no access to the pipes.

Dad still not up to visitors, had to cancel yesterday’s postponed afternoon tea with family friends.

Toilet became blocked (not by me!), took me forever to unblock it, trying various methods, not pleasant.

Dad taken very unwell, side effects of antibiotics again. Called surgery, was told he was added to emergency list and GP would call back. Surgery called back and said GP had too many patients to deal with and to call 111 or try again tomorrow at 8am. Have decided on second option, 111 will only send us back to hospital again.

Discovered water coming through ceiling and dripping onto bed in spare room, the leak that was “fixed” last August. Can hear it dripping away into the bucket up there as I type. Builder coming to take a look tomorrow afternoon. So have had to cancel a visit from my Aunty who was coming up from Devon on Thursday for a few days.

Miserable grey, wet day.
