Sea thrift and a sea stack

Even though the sun has hardly peeped out today, it's relatively warm and dry here on the Isle of Lewis, and Mr hazelh and I have enjoyed a fun day split between the house and the great outdoors. I took this photograph on our walk to the (now named) Eagle's nest bothy near Mangersta, where we ate our picnic lunch.

I can tell that I am relaxed here because I am sleeping well* and my resting heart rate has dropped back to my 'normal' of mid-50s**. I am also reading fiction in the day time. I rarely manage to achieve this at home because there is always some other task that needs my attention.

The Scrabble score is currently 3-2 to me, but we are mid-match in a game that looks like it will be a triumph for Mr hazelh.

*We knew from our previous visit last October that the bedroom here has a king size bed and a sofa bed. I brought my single feather duvet and high thread count cotton bedlinen in case I found it difficult to sleep in the king size bed. This has turned out to be a very good idea.

**Apart from the day of my recent medical adventure when it dropped to the mid-30s!

Exercise today: small amount of walking (9,188 steps).
