Goggle watch
Even in the middle of nowhere, lost items are displayed on railings in the hope that their owners will be reunited with them, as is the case with this pair of goggles on Uig Sands.
I photographed the goggles this afternoon when we ventured out for a walk. Under leaden skies it was rather blustery, and not long after we crossed the bridge, the wind had whipped up a piercing pain in my right ear. Although nowhere near as bad as my recent neck and shoulder ache, this was enough for us to decide that it would be much more pleasant to return to the cosiness of our cottage and save the beach walks for another day.
So Mr hazelh has mainly been programming and practising Swedish, and I have finished one book (Stephen King's On writing) and started another (Charlie Donlea's Don't believe it). I also took a very rare afternoon nap!
This evening we will eat smoked salmon kedgeree, play Scrabble, and watch a little downloaded television.
Exercise today: none.
