Trixie's Adventures

Making Matt jealous!

Today when Ann came home from work, she said, 'Trixie, I'm going to take you down to Harbour Beach for a play with your ball. As it's a bit cold & wet, everywhere in town is absolutely rammed with people mooching around in dry robes and as the tide is all the way out, there's hardly anyone on the beach, so we'll go and play there. Also, my colleague, Matt, who took over from me, will be ''well jel' when he looks out the window and sees us enjoying ourselves in the open air.' Doesn't take much to amuse Ann does it?

Ann works in the building (with the boarded up middle window) to the right of the big white building. Ann knew that Matt would be looking out to sea and see us playing. She was right. He came out onto the balcony and waved to us! How nice was that?! Enjoy the rest of your shift Matt. …..............Ann thinks she might have a glass of wine now. Lol!

Oh, and if anyone is interested, (which I'm sure no one is......................) every time he comes into work he says............  'Ann.......... can you make me a BLT?' .......................  Obviously my human obliges, because after years of saying she will NEVER EVER do a cooking/cleaning job, she is now a 'super chef'???   OK, possibly not 'rosette standard', but she is the Queen of sandwiches, toasties and jacket potatoes. Lol!!!

However, it's ridiculously busy atm. After an extremely slow start to the season, it's like the whole world has come to St Ives for their hols. On our walk down to the beach this afternoon we were stopped by 6 lots of people who couldn't find the way back to their cars. Hee hee hee. Have they not heard of 'Google Maps?' Ann loves it when she's at the top of the hill (there's a lot of hills in St Ives) and holiday makers have walked all the way up the wrong very steep hill so she has to send them back down again and up another very steep hill. Doesn't take much to amuse Ann does it?  Or when they're at a bus stop waiting for a bus to take them up the hill, but the bus isn't actually going up the hill to the car park that they want. It's hilarious!!!  Doesn't take much to amuse Ann does it? She works on the assumption, that if a family of five, can deck out mum, dad & 3 kids in proper branded 'dry robes' (that cost way over a £150 each), then they must have 'up-to-date' mobile phones and techy knowledge to be able to put in their location when they park the car and then find their way back to it later. OK – intelligent people, with a lot of money, often don't have much common sense. Lol!

Having said that, my human is more than helpful to people who she genuinely thinks needs help. This afternoon we accompanied two old ladies back to the bus stop. They were struggling to walk up the hill to the car park and couldn't remember where the bus had dropped them off. St Ives is a lovely town, but it's full of little lanes & narrow roads & hills. So we did our good deed of the day and took them back to the bus stop. Not sure if they managed to get on the bus though. It was choc-a-block when they joined the queue.
