Wish granted ...

Two days ago I said I’d love to see some baby birds in my garden. Well, this baby robin must have looked at my Blipfoto journal and decided to pay me a visit! I was so happy to see him. He was hopping about on the pigeon patio stones underneath the bird feeders, seemingly unfazed by the several regular pigeon visitors, who were not far away.

It’s not a great shot, mainly because I was standing on tiptoe in the kitchen, wielding my camera with the heavy 100-400 lens attached, trying to hold it steady enough to capture the robin without including the pots on the kitchen windowsill in front of me, or the rose garden box hedge between me and the feeders. Never mind, I’m happy with it.
