Laburnum Impressions

Having watched an excellent presentation by Stephanie Johnson on ICM, I find myself keen to try out the technique. I’ve  dabbled with it before, seldom happy with the results, but the beauty of her ICM landscapes is inspiring.

Of course, being inspired and producing images of equal quality are two completely different things. Still, late night at Bodnant gives me the chance to at least try.

It’s also an opportunity for a simple supper picnic - smoked salmon sandwiches with rosé spritzers - eaten in the rose garden! I do love these late openings, but just wish the weather was warmer - it’s so cold for late May.

So having  posted a classic view of the Laburnum Arch last week, I feel free to try alternatives.   I try some zoom shots  with and without people, then some vertical panning - and it’s the latter I like best, particularly this one with two shadowy and elongated figures walking through the arch. There’s an alternative people-free view in extras.
