The new shelves

Nothing on them yet, as we're waiting for the varnish to fully harden.

These evolved from a concept for some shelves in the hallway.  W made the legs, but then realised that he'd made them too short.  So rather than wasting them, we looked around and thought this space in the dining room could be more functional with some shelving.  The shelves for the hallway will be made from MDF and painted black, but I preferred varnished wood for the dining room.

W spent a productive morning mowing and strimming.  And spent the afternoon doing a little more sorting of the storage in his workshop.  I did a session on the exercise cycle and some fluting.  And continued sorting the music on the Brennan - rediscovering stuff I had downloaded onto the computer and probably never listened to more than once.
