Seeing Beyond Looking

Veiled

The word 'veil' can mean many things.  The month of May is veiled in a mist of different and indelible dates to get through. I can no longer see them clearly, but they are still there in my mind and in my body.

This morning, the sun was coming in and out through the sheer curtains in my bedroom. The open window is one of Honey Cat's favourite places to sit and see outside. She jumps on my desk (protected by a cloth), then moves over to her place on a pink towel and pushes her head behind the curtains.

The green that can be seen is from the big leaves of a fig tree. Behind that is a rather big tree, partially in front of my bedroom window and totally in front of my neighbour's windows and balcony.

As you may imagine, the tree has bird visitors that chirp and sing and hop from branch to branch. They make a live show for any kitty worth her whiskers. Although Honey will never hurt a bird, she can enjoy the view and dream.  As with all collages, it is best to look at in large so the images are not cut in half.
