Fantastic day spent exploring Ercolano and Pompeii.

Both are incredible places, it's hard to begin to believe they can manage to uncover so much in tact from under 20m of volcanic ash and lava (Ercolano) without damaging it as they do.

Seeing skeletons and casts of bodies which were found makes it somber at times and makes you realise you have no idea just how awful it must have been.
