Evening hilltop

It was lovely to be on the hilltop after eight in the evening. I'm rarely out at that time of day, when I'm emmeshed in J's evening routine, but P was cooking an unusually late dinner and chivvied me out for the walk I hadn't fitted in earlier. I headed up the lane in shade, which had already enveloped our side of the valley, but emerged into sunshine as I reached the brow of the hill, and I walked back down through the meadow where the low sun illuminated a lot of different and pretty grasses whose names I don't know, feeling lighter and brighter after a rather dispiriting day (despite having potted on the last of the cucumbers and over thirty tomato plants which had outgrown their modules and are now in intermediate pots before moving to their final places).

I don't know if these count as wild flowers, but will tag them for Wildflower Week just in case! Edit: Google Lens tells me it's common sorrel, Rumex Acetosa.
