Hungry bird…..

I was just having a gentle stroll near one of my favourite pools when a lovely couple asked if I wanted to see the baby woodpecker.

I looked up into the odd tree with a big hole and was richly rewarded.

First, a parent arrived and peeked in (extra).

Merlin registered the sound.

And then the impatient youngster started looking out, demanding food.

How lucky was that !!
