Pelargonium aridum

A low-growing semi-succulent tufted plant that grows to about 12 inches in height and has a large underground tuberous root, it is also deciduous in Winter. Out of shot there is a generous tuft of finely divided leaves.  I raised it from seed sown last autumn.

A lazy start before another visit from my temporary lodger who moves in tomorrow.  Meg has got used to him which is good.  After midday I joined the Tuesday singers near to the carnival field and we ran through our set in someone's front garden, getting a round of applause from passers by who'd stopped to listen!   The actual performance went just as well

Home for lunch and some time with the dogs before work at Kings from four til after eight, an evening Barbecue for the Talyllyn Tracksiders, the family working group which I was a member of with my children decades ago.  Today the whole railway was run by past Tracksiders, a wonderful testimony to a remarkable group.

A dog walk before dusk and a natter with J,J & J before bedtime.
