Last day

Packed up, cleared up, cleaned, hoovered and empty (more or less).

I’ve left my job today. It’s been a long time in the planning, considering I handed in my notice last October.

It’s ok. We had a lovely Turkish lunch as a staff team. Rachel organised some pretty cool presents. CurlyWhiz made a tremendous effort and joined us for a little while but I could tell how hard it was for her physically.

The boss had organised a video message from previous pastors I had worked with in my time - that was so special I was quite choked up. And it was funny in places too.

So when all was said and done, I went for a little drink with Rachel. It was a lovely hour of just reminiscing.

And this evening, whilst MightyMouse was at Rooted, Elbows and I went out for a meal. I’m glad tomorrow will be a complete distraction.
