The grass has been cut in Ayr Field. Yay!
This is MY field and the grass has just been cut. Yay! Actually, it's not MY field, but it's right next to my house so I consider it to be MY field. I come into this field to play with my ball when my human wants to tire me out quickly. I come into this field when I need to go out for a quick toileting break. I love MY field.
There are rumours circulating around St Ives that MY field is going to be turned into a car park. How awful would that be?
Until the end of last week (when the grass was cut), MY field was totally overgrown and my human had stopped taking me in there to play with my ball because how can I run after a ball if I don't even know where it's landed. In some parts of MY field the grass was almost up to my neck and picking up poo in long grass is very difficult?!
Now MY field is looking fabulous again. This evening when I went into MY field for a mooch around, after my human had finished work, there were loads of doggies having a play with their owners, there were a couple of old people (ie older than my human) sitting on the benches in the sunshine, and there were lots of kids playing in the play park section.
MY field is a great space for the local community. It will be very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, sad if MY field gets turned into a car park....................
