Print - old style

Woke up to a rainy morning.  By 11am weather improved so I took the hound for a walk alone the promenade.  It was pretty busy.

We encountered two whippets which Kyro was pleased to greet.  Saw the lifeboat being washed.  While there two RNLI sailors greeted Kyro and told me of their greyhound ownership.

In the afternoon we went to Blickling Hall as Mr wanted to look and the Norwich Print Museum which is temporarily housed there until larger premises can be found.

My main blip is type set for a poster.  Also hot talking to a lady who explained the process involved in bookbinding.  Fascinating.

While there it started to pour and thunder.  Mr and I took turns to stay with the hound in the shelter of a barn while looking at the printing presses.

It wasn't long before the heavens let rip.  I haven't seen anything like it for a while.  The paths were flooded in seconds and water running down like a river deep enough to wet my ankle high boots.

The drive home was equally dramatic with parts if the road completely beneath water.  Some oncoming cars being careful while one or two driving so fast even the windscreen was splashed with water in the passenger side.

On arrival back at our holiday cottage poor soggy Kyro didn't want to get out of the car.  Eventually got him out and vigorously towel dried him and settled him on a dry bed.  Changed into dry clothes and put wet ones on airer near a radiator.

The early evening has been sunny but the temperature has dropped.  Tomorrow is forecast to have sunshine and be drier.

Pleasant evening everyone.
