Quern Stone

A walk along some stunning paths today until the last kilometre when I was confronted by a two metre widewall of thorns requiring a two kilometre detour along a relativley busy road to finish the circuit - shame.
The archaeological highlight was an Iron Age (?) round with this quern stone exposed in the centre of it. Ornithological highlights rather thin on the ground - and in the air perhaps.
