Silly Saturday ...

... kayak at Minsi Lake.

The weather was absolutely perfect today for a paddle around Minsi Lake ... and that's exactly what we did!

We got to the lake early enough to enjoy the cooler temps out on the lake followed by a picnic lunch on one of the benches at the lake's edge.  It was great being out in the sunshine and getting in some exercise, too.  We saw lots of lake birds today ... including this female red-winged blackbird.  They look so different from the males ... who are black with beautiful flashes of red on their wings.  Very aptly named. 

We were back home shortly before 2:00 pm but very tired.  I settled in the sunroom with the newspaper whilst Richard laid down for a nap.  Supper was leftovers followed by a relaxing evening at home.
