Beautiful day for a ride.

After breakfast and a walk with the dogs, I went for a solo 60km ride in the quiet lanes of the Vale of Glamorgan. The blip is the church of St Hilary in the picturesque village of the same name. Parta date back to the 14th century but it was extensively restored in 1862.
This evening Sally and I went to see “Nye” in the Millennium Centre. Our daughter Sian bought us the tickets as a Christmas present. All I can say is that it is a fantastic and thought provoking play and makes me want to read more about Nye Bevan and his efforts to establish our wonderful NHS. Of course, Winston Churchill and the Tories were dead against establishing health care free to all (part of me thinks that nothing has changed).
