Avocet #57
Probably the best day of the Bank Holiday weekend, so we headed over to Southport and RSPB Marshside. The avocets and black headed gulls were very active indeed as both were protecting their chicks and kept dive-bombing each other.
Lots of screeching and flapping, but all the chicks seemed fine.
It was good to get out again after being at home most of the week supervising the window installation.
On the way home, we dropped in for a quick circuit of Lunt Meadows. Nothing much about today, but it was nice in the sunshine.
