More up and down

This is Ünüvar restaurant. It's about 60-90 seconds away from my front door, and since I moved to the villa three days ago it has been my personal kitchen diner! Neither able nor inclined to cook in my new home yet, this place serves satisfying Turkish meals and is inexpensive.  Today I had an omelette for an early brunch. The rest of my morning passed with the inevitable post moving activities. 

Graham came this afternoon and we sat on my poolside patio (boasting? moi?) and talked about Sunday's AGM for owners at our complex that as "the Board" we are responsible for running. Early evening Rufus and I went back to the complex with Graham for an hour for me to sort out more of my kitchen items to take to the villa, while Graham and Kat got ready and then the three of us + Rufus returned to Akbuk to go to Pasa restaurant for dinner. We hadn't  been there long when our neighbour friends Zeynep and Altan joined us for a drink. I am so very sad to say that our conversation included the not entirely unexpected news that our community garden woofer, Gece, the gentle soul belonging to no one and everyone, has passed away at the vets. I won't dwell on it here, but am including a pic of her originally Blipped  last November when she came for a walk with Rufus and me - which she did every day (here). Rest now sweetie. You're home.
