Low tide on the Clyde
I took today’s blip from the train as I headed towards Glasgow in the late afternoon with friend T. We were going to meet up with C for an afternoon at the ballet tomorrow (more about that tomorrow). The sea had been like a millpond as we sailed across to Oban from Mull and we had plenty of time to catch the train which left on time, so altogether it was a successful start to the weekend. Things got even better when we found C at the agreed meeting place and headed off to Amore for a very tasty Italian meal. We were all feeling in need of a few zzzzzzzzzs so agreed to have an early night so that we would have plenty of energy to make the most of tomorrow’s experiences.
PS The ship on the distant shore and in the centre of my thumbnail is one of the two infamous CalMac ferries being built at the Ferguson Marine Shipyard and now six years late and more than £200 million over budget!
