Boys weekend away

It is Jon and Henry’s annual Bushcraft weekend. They have all their kit packed into top boxes, panniers and a hold-all each. Food and camping equipment but no tents - they are in tarps and hammocks this weekend. I waved them off just after 8 this morning, and they had arrived in Derbyshire and were all set up mid afternoon. I’m sort of envious, because I love a camping weekend but not in hammocks!

It has left me with the long weekend to myself. So once work was over, I moved crafting stuff to the conservatory where I plan to make the most of the light, the bigger table and the view of my garden for a productive and fun weekend. And then….disaster

I cut my finger deeply on a vintage (rusty) biscuit tin which contained my acorn cups. My finger was pumping blood, and struggled to stop it. I managed to find a long bandage and wrapped it round my finger tightly, but the blood still came, so I jumped in the car and drove to Cromer minor injuries. They said they were full, but took me in when they saw it. Which was kind. Two hours later and I’m home with a couple of steri strips. I felt a fraud once it had stopped - it looked pretty insignificant. They gave me a tetanus jab.

Now I’m sitting with my arm up, trying to get Netflix to show me the new Bridgerton. Because I have no one to battle with!!
