Painting with my granddaughter.
We spent a lovely afternoon together getting messy with watercolours, sponges, pens, and coloured pencils, and pens.
She has now finished her painting which she began last week.
We sat side by side with a copy of a painting I had done of a beach in Cornwall.
She copied an outline first and then I showed her how to mix colours, using watercolour tubes of paint.
Do washes and how sponges can create textures, using my piece of watercolour paper.
I think she has done amazingly well!
Stephen found an old photo frame so I let her use my paper cutter to trim it to size
She was so pleased to take it home framed!
I think the grandchildren may come to tea tomorrow, as we go on holiday in a week’s time, and next week is very busy with various appointments and other things.
I hope everyone has a reasonable weekend, and also that the sun and warmth return from whence they disappeared!
