Bowood Woodland Gardens (Thursday 23rd May 2024)

I made my third visit to the Bowood Woodland Walks this afternoon. I planned to walk around the perimeter path, which took me away from all the other visitors and into areas rarely visited. I reached the Mausoleum and called in at the Jubilee Gardens on the way out.

In the evening I watched a documentary about Syd Barrett, broadcast on Sky Arts, called Have You Got It Yet?  He shone brightly as a member of Pink Floyd but became mentally troubled, probably accelerated by his LSD usage, and became a recluse living in his parents' Cambridge basement, painting canvases. This comes from his first solo album, The Madcap Laughs.
