The Quaker Ladies are Blooming

I may not have a good showing of apple blossoms this year, but I do have some lovely clumps of Houstonia caerulea (Little Bluets) or the name I prefer, Quaker Ladies. Because they grow in evenly spaced clumps, the name is reputed to have originated from Native Americans who “would track where the Quakers travelled by seeing where the flowers grew as the seeds dropped from their shoes.”  (They are also called Innocence.) I'm not sure about that but when Bob came to mow yesterday, I made sure he mowed around them.  The bees love them.  Can you spot the wee bee amongst the flowers?
