Soggy Pigeon

………. with a wonky beak. This unfortunate chap has been visiting our garden regularly for at least two years, so his beak deformity doesn’t seem to hinder him too much ……….. except when it rains - it seems to take a long time for him to consume sufficient food, he usually spends at least two hours at the seed tray when it’s first filled up in the morning. Unfortunately, when it rains he tends to get rather wet. There is a second seed tray that is a bit more under cover of the bushes but for some reason he prefers to be out in the open. He’s very feisty, and doesn’t like to share ‘his’ seed tray with anyone else and regularly sees off other pigeons, magpies, assorted corvids and single starlings ……… he even tries his best when the starling fledglings descend but that unruly raucous mob is no match for anyone - even the squirrels run for cover when they arrive ;-))
