European Wall Lizard

Mr U&L and I went to Shoreham today, and had a lovely time walking along the pretty shingle beach. As always the walls of Shoreham Old Fort were home to several of these European Wall Lizards.
This one with the bright green pattern along the back is a male. However, these lizards are not the only non-native species Shoreham is famous for, it also boasts one of the few populations of Starry Clover in the UK. see extra. I have also added a shot of the beautiful species rich shingle beach in extras.
