Tagging Along

A long, long train came along the side track (that runs east/west against the bluff), as we were walking the same route. We waved at the engineer, who waved back at us, then marveled at the the heavy cars that creaked on wheels that screeched on rails that sit on very old and tired wooden ties. Then the train would stop, we'd catch up, then it'd silently begin rolling again, then the straining noises, then another stop. It was all great; it was also great that we could climb up to the foot bridge and cross over to continue walking away from it, or who knows how long it would've taken to get home again.
