Rosa chinensis mutabilis, a truly lovely china rose, the flowers going through shades of copper, peach and pink as they age.

Our open day as part of the Baltimore Secret Gardens weekend went very well. We were inundated with visitors, and lots of friends came specially to see me which was nice. I felt generally very validated and recognised, and we raised lots of money for our chosen charity. The sun shone and everything looked gorgeous. I was only sorry that I didnt get a chance to go and see any of the other gardens.

I am glad it is over now though, and I can move on with preparations for the wedding and family gathering now less than three weeks away. (Eek!)
