Eastside Road

...specifically, the east side of the Russian River. I chose this picture just to prove that we don't live in an arid desert. We went to the Riverside Regional Park with Spike after seeing Kathy. It's a beautiful place with big redwoods on one side of the path and the river that widens into lakes on the other. The picture in extras with a tiny Spike and John gives a good idea of the majesty and height of the redwoods. The second extra is a lake with a bench where we sat for a few minutes just enjoying the absolute stillness....

I have a new commission for a baby quilt. I put away my sewing machine before Christmas and haven't gotten it out since, so there may be a bit of a learning curve to find my mojo again. I started by trying to organize my boxes of fabrics. It's sort of like trying to organize a filing cabinet...how do you decide what color a multi colored fabric is? It's not much different what titles to give to different files.

Needless to say I didn't get very far...

We're still toiling away in the garden, I on the house level, John higher up. this does seem to work out better than trying to work together on anything....I'm now going to go out and enjoy the garden...facing away from the unfinished bits, and the rakes and shovels and wheelbarrow that I have at least prevailed upon John to stash behind the pump house sort of out of sight....
