Paestum

After checking out of our hotel, we visited the ruins of this major ancient Greek city, famous for three ancient temples dating from about 550 to 450 BC and in great state of preservation. The city walls and amphitheatre are largely intact, and the bottom of the walls of many other structures remain, as well as paved roads. The site is huge and you can clearly see the ancient city layout. The museum was also really interesting with many pieces found there. 
We then headed inland slightly and up high to a castle for a couple of nights. It is amazing.... only has 6 rooms and we are the only guests!! Light lunch, explore, swim and dinner
