"o' bonnie Dundee"

So due to my plans for the weekend, my usual Friday newspaper story blip has been moved to a Thursday!

I'm not sure what I think of this story! The current UK city of culture is Londonderry/Derry/Stroke City, and apart from the Radio 1 Big Weekend, I'm not sure what good the title has actually had for the city! Maybe because I don't live there I can't see the benefits, but as an outsider looking in, I'm not sure if it means very much! Tourist levels may go up I guess, but after that..... :/

Still, it's nice to see a small city like Dundee in the running for something like this rather than the obvious options of Glasgow and Edinburgh!

Time to start packing for my catch-up weekend with Miss Patterson! :)
