Bloody cranes-bill geranium.

These plants grow so easily and can be divided to make new plants. We have some at the allotment and I have noticed quite a few in gardens nearby too. Sometimes called bloody geranium!

This morning I went to the allotment for a couple of hours. Strimmed all the edges and then planted some sunflower seedlings that I had started off at home. The seeds I have put straight into the ground there have not yet germinated but I am hoping they will as they did last year no problem.

This afternoon I went to the grandchildren’s school for the May Fair. There is a very good PTA there so lots of good stalls and activities for the children. They now have a voucher system for payment on stalls…you pay on the gate for however many vouchers you want eg 22 for £10. Each activity/ stall needs 2 or 3 vouchers. Much easier than cash. We used lots on the bottle stall and got 2 bottles, one a nice bottle of red for grandad!
They also have a good system where you can pay £15 for food or drink vouchers for local restaurants/pubs, hairdressers etc or food items from local businesses who have donated a voucher, but it’s pot luck what the value will be. My daughter got a £50 voucher for the restaurant of a pub and I got a £30 voucher for a new small Greek restaurant/takeaway that we’ve been meaning to try.

It has gradually warmed up during the day and now very sunny again and about 21C.
