We've headed west to have a brief wander round Salisbury. The present city apparently only came into being following some 13th century bishop wanting to raise money for a bigger newer cathedral. He did this by creating Salisbury, and a none too shabby place of worship (please see second extra.)
The first extra is a view from nearby Old Sarum, which had been an impressive iron age hill fort/roman fortification/King's residence prior to Salisbury's development.
Many thanks to BikerBear for hosting.
Thanks to everyone who liked yesterday's mono pylons.
