We hugged the Kent coastline on our bike tour, before finally turning inland. Unfortunately, until late afternoon, there was constant rain, but one of the areas we passed through was Dungeness nuclear power station. We go to all the glamorous places; no need for Acapulco. There was a strange contrast between the bleak buildings/countless pylons and the surrounding wildlife (swans, Brent geese, cormorants, egrets etc.)
Extra: "Look after your bikes, Mr.?" After 80 wet and mucky kms we were glad to come across this delightful tea room with its own bike minders.
