Givin' it some

Our last day - and the weather reverted to warm and sunny. As we need to pack, we had a few hours at Minsmere before returning to our holiday let. The highlight was probably a Grey Plover in breeding plumage - which is a first for me, but sadly it was too far away to get anything but a record shot, and we also picked out a mediterranean Gull from amongst the many Black-headed Gulls. This Wren was giving it some and demanded to be photographed. There were also plenty of butterflies around, so I’m hoping this augurs well for my first official survey next week at Longshaw.
