Thursday: High Line.

This morning started off a little rainy so after a slightly slower start we headed off to Nirvana, also known as the Strand Bookstore.  It’s definitely one of the best bookstores in the world in my opinion.  The only down side is that it’s slightly overwhelming - I was determined not to leave empty-handed and I’m pleased to say I was successful in my quest.  In fact, we all were.

After that, an excellent lunch in Chinatown followed by a walk along the length of the High Line.  It’s such a pleasant way to be able to walk in the city.

This evening saw us back in the Village where we had a few drinks and some big pizza slices.  We ended by feeling like cool people in a late night jazz club.  So late, in fact, it was well after 1am when we got in.
