Wednesday: Oysters

Today was the day a hearty diner breakfast was called for.  S and I had bagels, lox and cream cheese.  J and K went for egg and bacon options.  And a stack of pancakes to share.  

After that, we waddled up to the American Museum of Natural History, which we thoroughly enjoyed.  I particularly liked the slightly dated mammal exhibits (see extras).

From there to the Oyster Bar where we had martinis and oysters.  J overdid the Tabasco on one of his oysters which left him feeling quite emotional.  We cheered him up by heading to a pub to watch the Newcastle game but, sadly, the result made him feel emotional again.  

He soon got over it again, though, thanks to an excellent traditional meal at ‘Paul and Jimmy’s’, a neighbourhood Italian restaurant.
