P Is For Poppy

Well it had to be! We have over 100 poppy buds waiting to open. A row of them over 6' long has formed from a self-seeded plant in a 6" wide row of pebbles.

They aren't growing in a convenient place but I'm not going to attempt to move them and they're so blousey and untidy, I don't really want to sow their seeds anywhere else in the garden.

It seems every time I photograph these poppies they are wet. Today was no exception. I went into town without a coat for an eye test and got wet. I'm needing new glasses after only 9 months since my last eye test. I made the appointment because I realised I was having difficulty reading.
