Nice afternoon for a walk

The Trans Pennine Trail passes along Dairy House Lane at the bottom of my garden and at this time of year we get many walkers and cyclists passing by.

The trail starts in Southport and ends on the Yorkshire coast at Hornsea but over the years has extended with north and south spurs to Leeds, York and Chesterfield. The whole of the route covers around 360 miles and for the most part is relatively flat, using canal towpaths and old railway tracks where possible with the general idea to keep people and traffic apart!
