Day's end

Had a busy day. I spent the whole morning at the hospital at a pre-operation appointment. It was a bit like having an MOT and I was pleased when they reported that I was fit for surgery. (At least, I think I was).

Then this afternoon the Designer from Hammonds (more product placement) came to help design fitted furniture for the bedrooms and study at number 11. Thankfully I knew, more or less, what I wanted so it took less than an hour a room to design, tweak and sign on the dotted line. I can really recommend Hammond's service and finished furniture, its well built and looks good years later. No doubt I shall be blipping the results of their labours at a later date.

Most of the evening was spent trying to design the Art Deco glass panel for the lounge door. I am having so many problems with this due to its proportions which are 325 mm by 1910 mm (included those in case anyone fancies sending a design - perhaps I should have started a competition with a weekend away in the new house as a prize!)

So by the time I remembered I hadn't taken my blip it was nearly time for bed so here is a rather uninteresting shot of the lamp post on Dairy House Lane.
