A Lovely Day
The weather held long enough to visit the New England Botanical Gardens at Tower Hill in Boylston, MA. The garden’s were so lovely and I can’t believe I’ve never been here. The original farmhouse was built in 1740 and sat on 171 acres. The gardens were started in 1986. We had a lovely lunch on the terrace overlooking Wachusett Reservoir. We then visited the Cider Mill vintage antiques complex. Such a fun place to wander and it had some funky assemblages. I got some great vintage linens, lace and old photographs for a new project I will be working on when I’m “confined to barracks” after my knee surgery this summer. (Extra). Also, a photo of Snowball! On the road to Hanover, MA. tomorrow.
