Meadow cranesbill

The forecasters are predicting a spell of fine weather - a proper summer at last - but today was rather strange, with an odd mix of cloud, wind, high humidity and eventually rather hot temperatures.We took Rosie for a walk along the local stretch of river, parts of which are now purple with meadow cranesbill.

A quiet day at home was very welcome after the last few hectic days. After lunch Ben had an orthodontis's appointment, and then Alex, Ben and I went into town and had mint tea and mint milkshakes at Cafe Nero. I was hoping to but Ben a birthday present, but he couldn't think of anything he wanted, so I suppose it'll have to be money again!
