July blues

The hottest day of the year here, and Alex and I were working in a sheltered sand pit in Bedfordshire - absolutely sweltering! I'm afraid I found it quite hard to concentrate, being tired from all the travelling yesterday. Somehow there wasn't really any time for photography, so I had a quick scout round this garden and found this beautiful annual cornflower, which amazingly survived a long period of neglect when my back was bad. Sorry for the lack of comments at the moment - too much to do - and the next three weeks is looking even busier...
