Day 25 Camino Leon to San Martin
Another tough day at the office. Probably the toughest day in terms of scenery as we were constantly following a busy road. On top of this, my knee was sore for the last 5 miles or so and the heavens opened just to make things even worse! Ii limped into our albergue and need to assess the next few days. A friendly pilgrim has given me some ibroprofen gel and I’ll probably take some tablets to see if I can reduce the swelling. It is my right knee which has a history of problems with the meniscus. I’ve decided reluctantly to have my rucksack transferred to our next albergue to see if this makes a difference (9kg less weight on my knee). I’ll travel just with a day pack and my walking poles but my worry is the steep climbs and descents over the next few days. I’ll just have to see how my body responds…..
