Travel Cot Trials

Well last night's experiment (Audrey in a travel cot at my Mum and Dad's - see pic) could have gone a bit better. She was pretty unsettled and didn't sleep until 9pm. But she did sleep through in the end, thank heavens.

A couple of things I need to tweak before we repeat it. I forgot to put the base mattress in the travel cot and didn't let her have a nap in the room before we put her down. She always settles better if she's had a nap in there already.
We were also in the next room to her chatting after she went to bed which probably kept her awake too. She does like to be where the action is!

On the bright side, I imagine it will go swimmingly next time so haven't been put off doing it!

I didn't sleep well though as was worrying about her so was pretty tired today. Stopped off at Heald Green for some groceries on the way home. I love the big Sainsbury's in Cheadle but there are some very snotty people in there. Audrey was sat in the trolley and she kept trying to engage with other customers. Half of them stuck their nose in the air and ignored her. Wouldn't mind but she wasn't crying. Just trying to say "Hi-ya!" Misery bears!

Audrey's full of cold so kept her home this afternoon and had to give the NCT reunion a miss sadly.

Had some good work news (I won a new PR account starting in August - that should help pay nursery fees, fate played a hand there!)

And the weather is glorious and here to stay for a while if the forecasts are to be believed. Sun makes everything better.
