When the night has come
Oh heavens. I am tired
I think it was a combination of aurora watching last night and allotment-ing this morning
We were up there by ten and I dug out three flower beds and planted cosmos sweet peas and coriander and a cabbage. Yes. Coriander and cabbage appear to have got mixed up with the sweet peas
I have high hopes for them all they look beautiful.
Si strimmed round both plots and forked a bit of the bed I just wasn't dealing with
Then we came home ; showered and headed to town. My wee town is hosting the Open this year. What a bloody nightmare.
Officials have decided in their wisdom to re-lay the roads (we've only been asking for 2 years). Not just the holy bits. The roads upon which the rich and famous will drive down. They were in not too bad a state but they want them extra flat for them.
They've closed a beach car park for to erect a media village. No one who lives on the beach side of the town can park outside their house. They have to apply for permits.
We are going to have to apply for permits to go to the allotment. Some media group have taken over the rugby club who we share access with
It's all a bit crap to be honest.
Today was super warm. People flock to the beach on days like this and park abysmally. So today we had abysmal parking all over the half dug up roads. Gridlock trying to squeeze past dug up drain covers and pavement barricades and if course. They had all hit Morrison in an attempt to stick up for bbq'ing in the non existent car parks
And all this happens 3 months before the bloody open (it started last month).... And I can tell you it won't take them three months to piss off back to the Royal And Ancient
Anyhooo. While we were at the allotment I sent D across the road a photo of the fruit frame she gave us (as well as my tree) in place and told her to run over and smell the wisteria I lightened this pic so you could see the colour.
She duly did and said she took loads of photos. I think it's probably at its peak although not all flowers are open. The smell is immense. I can sit on the patio and smell it from here. The flowers are all white and lilac now. And just glorious.
Perfect place to end the evening
