Querini Stampalia

Or more formally known as Fondazione Querini Stampalia, and the scene for possibly the most embarrassing moment of our time in Venice. 

Fabulous Palazzo by the way, beautifully furnished as it would have been back in the day, and with a noticeable lack of barricades and barriers so you could wander around the rooms at will.

So, in extras you will  see a charming garden with water features and stuff.  Just to the right of the image and out of frame, there is a large gate with a green arrow.  So, what I did was open the gate, and we walked through, setting off the most appalling sound of a screaming banshee, which was the alarm system.

We moved very swiftly around the corner, and my face was as red as a beetroot.
